Let Me Go

We are locked in our bodies because we are worried about it.  Will my body be in pain, will it suffer?  Will it resolve into nothing if I leave it behind?

After all our worry and despair, we finally come to the realization that the body is nothing.  Nothing more than the vehicle that transported our spirit for a time.  Letting go of the body is as easy as counting 1    2     3.  Because we are so worried about our bodies we will suffer and be in pain, physically or mentally - makes no difference.

You might say, we live for 60, 70, 80 plus years often in pain because we just can't let go of what has been our home for so many years.  When we finally realize that our body is worn out and can no longer serve us, we are then and only then ready to leave it behind.

Some would say that this is just no so. But think about it and you will see that I am right.  Even a person in a hospital who seems so alive and recovering from their illness so well, will suddenly leave there body, dying.  Yes, they unconsciously let go of what they didn't need any more.

Can this be of any comfort to a person who has been ill for many years to read?  Not always.  We are not told nor do we believe or think that we are so attached to our body that we can not let it go so easily.  We often hold onto our spouse, a daughter or son who says "please don't die, I need you".  We tell them we are sick and it would be better for us to die, but selfish acts of others do more harm than good for us.  I want to leave now, please let me go...
