Prophets verses Mediums Messages

Not long ago I encountered a Christian pastor who condemned me for being a fully ordained Spiritualist minister and medium. He wanted to come to my house and persuade to give up my gift that I have had from the day I was born. That pastor also wanted to convert me to his beliefs; being a born again Christian. I did not let him come to my house.

The argument about where a person get his/her inspiration and who he believes in in his/her heart is the source of their inspiration will never be settled by arguing about the subject. I know who I believe in and my relationship to Him, God.

I could not be a Spiritualist if I didn't accept our first principle I believe in "The fatherhood God.

Weather or not messages come from God, the Holy Spirit or the Spirit World of Light makes little difference. If a person is Christian oriented, or a member of a large denominational church, he/she will believe that the prophetic message originated from God. A Christian prophet will always give a message to a church congregation that is Christian in nature.

If a person is a member of a Spiritualist church then the messages given in church well be a message that is up lifting and providing inspiration and help to the recipient so that he/she is able to make better/right decisions. A Spiritualist medium will often give a person a message from a love one who has transitioned to the Spirit World by proving proof of continuity of life. That is not to say that a Christian prophet's message can be the same thing.

The question is about where the message is said to come from and the nature of the message. This is the crux of all messages given by a prophet or medium.

As a Spiritualist, I fully expect the source of the message to be from the Spirit World of Light, God or even the Holy Spirit, and for my highest good.

Christians will always condemn a Spiritualist and claim that their messages are from a demonic being and not to be accepted.

For the Spiritualists, he/she will accept the message from a Christian prophet as quickly as they would a Spiritualist medium. Spiritualist know that people in the Spirit World of Light are NOT demonic and would never give a demonic type of message.

All Spiritualists mediums always prey before giving messages or readings in order to protect themselves from "earth bound" negative spirits. The Christian prophet believes he/she doesn't have to prey for protection because they believe they are already protected by just being a Christian. The fact is, human being are naturally protected and really don't need to make special prayers. However, Spiritualist mediums know all about human nature, and choose to be on the safe side by making a short prayer before giving messages.

Where do you stand on the subject? Do you accept all messages you receive from a Spiritualist medium without question? I hope you weigh the message as to its source and the nature of the message. Is the message for your highest good?

Problem Solved

The past catches us unaware.
It chips away at us for hour, days and weeks.
We don't understand what's happening to us, and yet,
We have that knowing that is always there.
Our lives are filled with despair ever searching for relief.
We know that there is more to our life than past mistakes, or outlandish wonderings.

Tomorrow is another day, but what kind of a day will it be? We don't know but hope for the best.

Starting from the beginning we strive to do all that we can to bring a little joy, love and happiness into to our lives. We forget that we are only one in the multitude of billions. Our life is worth every challenge that comes our way. We embrace it with all our being charging into it with enthusiasm knowing that we have what it takes to over come any obstacle in our way.

It is our nature to solve problems and remove obstacles that we encounter in our daily life. Once we encounter a problem, we start working on it by calling upon the knowledge we've gained from the influence of our parents, friends and society in general and even applying our knowledge gained through our education. We even use knowledge we have gained through radio and television programs.

Our Path

When we look at a field full of newly fallen snow we see a carpet of whiteness that sparkles in the sun. Then the children start running in that snow. What happened? The children leave foot prints that had a start and moved throughout the field of snow; leaving a path that could be followed from start to finish and unique to one child's path through the snow. Even if another child ran on the same foot prints of another child, the observer can see that the children foot prints are not the same.

What kind of path are you walking on? Is it made of dirt or stones or perhaps concrete? Did you leave any foot prints behind? I think I know what kind of a path your on. I think it's a spiritual path. Or is it some other kind of path?

Each one of us are walking on a path that no other person has walked on crisscrossing the paths of other people. Our life is filled with experiences. We think that many have walked the same path before us and have had the same experiences, could this be true, but we are walking a path that is unique to us. No two people can walk in the same path because we are all different individuals even though we have the same physical make up.

You and me are individuals who experience life differently. I cannot be you and you cannot be me. My likes and dislikes are unique to me. Even my education and training from birth are different from yours. Even my brothers and sister are greatly different than mine even though we were raised in the same household with the same parents.

Should we be striving to be just like another person? No, because we don't live in their body..

We go through life learning and experiencing a multitude of information that is stored away for a time when it's needed, it's available. Each person experiences are unique to them. No other person on earth experiences exactly the same experience even though they witnessed the same incident. When a dozen people are asked to describe what they saw or experienced, they all have similar stories to tell, but not exactly as the others.

We call our life experiences parts of our path that we are on that makes us who we are. A unique individual whose experiences are totally our own.

Life would be dull if we all experienced exactly the same thing in exactly the same way.

Our physical life path ends with us taking up residence in the Spirit World, but we remain the same person there as here on earth. In the Spirit World we will continue to experience and prosper that which is unique to us. There is no other person just like you, me.

A Lesson from Children

Children are not only our future but are now. So innocence so full of joy and hope. In the book Walking for Pease, Mony wrote about some young children  that she and her walking partner met in Italy. One of the children, a girl, handed Mony a book. On the cover was drawn three cartoon fish in a row holding paint-brushes while walking across a rainbow bridge that extended to infinity. The fish in front wore a kaffiyeh (Palestinian black and white scarf), the fish at the end wore a yarmulke (the Jewish cap), and the fish in the middle wore a baseball cap. Above all their heads was the title "We Give a Boost to Peace with Six Hands" in four languages: Hebrew, Arabic, Italian and English.

The idea originated in Italy. The Italian children started a drawing which was delivered to a Palestinian school where those children added to it, and finally to Israeli children who completed it. The children's drawings showed togetherness where the children wore each other's religious scarfs, and caps. Some of the children's parents even added drawings to the books. When the books were finished many months later, they were displayed at a cultural center in Jerusalem, and the children were invited to see their handiwork.

In Jerusalem there would be as many as five hundred excited children squealing with joy and delight at finding their book that they and their partners created.

Italian, Jewish and Palestinian children in their innocence without fear and hatred for each other united in peace, hope and the joy of just being children.

Children have a great deal to teach us adults. We should listen to them and do as they do.

In Canada, red, yellow, black and white children and some times speaking different languages all play together on school grounds, in parks and where ever they can gather to have some fun. Children don't see the color or bother about another kids language, they are able to communicate with each other just fine and have fun doing it.

The world would be a better place to live in if adults could set aside their differences for a time as children and find peace.

As Spiritualist, we strive to live together with other people no matter what the color of there skin may be or language they speak. We truly believe in our second principle "We believe in the brotherhood of man".

Life

Life for all of us starts with an awakening in a new body. Some with the rising sun, some in the fullness of day, some with the setting sun and others during the darkness of night. Who can say what will happen as that life grows and spreads its wings. Will that life contribute to civilization's many expectations and make its mark in the lives of others. Can that life make its contribution  through working with others or by his/her writings and teachings.

Some of us will only be remembered by a few close family members and friends. While others, it seams in years to come, are only thought about when some one looks at their family genealogy or looking at a tomb stone and wonders about the person buried there. What have we done in our life that can be remembered a year or maybe ten or perhaps a hundred from now?

I wonder if the people we rubbed shoulders with through out our life will even remember us? I wonder about the people we've hurt emotionally even though we've never hurt anyone physically? Have we made any real contribution to life that is even worth remembering?

All the wondering does us no good because it's only at the very end of life that the multitude of things we've done in life can be looked back on and contemplated. It is then that our life's story can be revealed and hopefully be remembered in years to come.

The Patient, the Healer and God

Healing comes to the sick in many ways. Some are healed through faith, some through the act of prayer, which is faith in action. Some are healed because the body has activated its own internal healing power. Can advanced cancers or other debilitating diseases be healed? Just what does it take for healing to take place?

In the healing classes of a certified healer, men and women are taught that the individual who is acting as the healer is just a channel between God and the patient. Is this all there is to healing, to have a person act as a channel for healing? No! The patient is just as much a part of the healing process as God and the healer (channel). It is a threesome that works together to effectively produce the needed healing.

And yet, Few people today believe that God heals as he did in the days of Jesus. They are all wrong. God still heals as He did then. One must remember the words of Jesus when He said, “The things I do you can do and greater things than these you can do.” So what does it take for healing to take place today? It requires that the person acting as the healer truly understands that they’re the channel for God’s healing energy. If the healer doesn’t believe that healing can take place through him, the healing energy is stopped from its flow. God can do little for the recipient when the healer himself doesn’t believe that he is the healing channel.

Remember that it takes so little faith- confidence – the amount of faith represented by a mustard seed – so little, and yet so much. It is not the person acting as the healer that heals; it is God the source of all healing who does the healing. The channel MUST be open to the flow of God’s healing energy. The patient MUST know that they WILL receive the healing they desire, and be ready to accept it without question. This is a real problem for far too many of us - accepting without question. We are born skeptics, we question everything.

I hear about so many people today who are afflicted with cancer, and other diseases that lead to death of the physical body – diseases that can be stopped in their tracts. If only the patient understood that God wants them to be strong and healthy. “But, you say,” this one little word (but) can make the difference between healing and the downward spiral to physical death.

The question is – Do you have faith ( confidence), the knowing that healing takes place even today as it did two thousand years ago?

At a church in Redding California, the pastor was faced with the question “Does God heal today as He did when Jesus was alive?” He studied his Bible and came to the conclusion that God did. So he started to tentatively do healings during services at his church. To his amazement, people started to be healed. He talks about people who could not walk, but were healed by faith and started walking.

People with cancers were healed and people with “withered limbs” had their limbs start to grow to a normal size and shape as the healer prayed over them. Can you believe what it must have been like to see such a miracle taking place before your own eyes? The minister goes on in his book to talk about other healings that took place and are continuing to take place at his church.

Healing takes place today as it did in the time of Jesus. There is absolutely no reason for you or me to believe that it doesn’t happen. It only takes a few seconds for healing to take place, and only a second of faith.

You may not believe that it can happen for you, but it can. You must be ready to let go of your skepticism completely. Believe in miracles, and accept the healing.

I know how our minds work. It is because, we as adults are so used to being skeptical about everything that happens in our life that we find it almost impossible to believe that we or a loved one can be healed.

I don’t know what it will take for you to put that “mustard seed” of faith into effect in your life so that you can be healed I just hope and pray that you will find it within yourself to have it. God is the source of all healing; the healer is the channel for the healing energy, and the recipient as the receiver are all working together as one to bring about a complete healing.

Do you know how Jesus healed people?

"Your sins, sickness, or discord are no more a part of God, or your true self, than fungi are a part of the plants to which they attach themselves. They are the false growths which have gathered upon your bodies as the result of wrong thinking. The thought of the disease and the disease are merely the cause and the effect. Erase, forgive the cause and the effect disappears. Erase the false belief and sickness vanishes".

"This was the only method of cure that Jesus ever resorted to. He erased the false image in the consciousness of the one to whom he ministered. He first raised the vibrations of his body by connecting his own thoughts with those of Divine Mind and holding his own thoughts steadfastly in accord with those of the perfection of the Divine Mind for man. Then the vibrations of his body became equal to the vibrations in Divine Mind. Having thus raised the vibrations of his own body by his steadfast thought of the Divine Perfection, he was able to raise the vibrations of the body of the applicant with the withered arm to the point where he could erase the image of the withered arm from his own consciousness. Then Jesus could say to the applicant `Stretch forth your hand.' The person in faith stretched it forth and it became whole. Thus Jesus raised the vibrations of his own body by seeing the Divine Perfection for all and this enabled him to raise the vibrations of the one he healed until the image of imperfection was entirely erased; then perfection was instantaneous and the forgiveness and healing was complete".

"God works through all to carry out His perfect plan and the perfect, loving thoughts continually going forth from the hearts of all are God's own message to His children. It is these thoughts that keep the vibrations of our bodies in direct touch with the divine and perfect vibrations; and this seed is the Word of God that finds lodgment in every receptive heart, whether man be consciously aware of his divine nature or not. We are approaching more fully to our divine inheritance when we can keep our thoughts so fully upon our divine perfection and the divine perfection of all, as held in the Mind of God, that the vibrations of our body are in direct harmonious accord and one with the divine vibrations sent out from the Mind of God. But, in order to bring forth the abundant harvest of spiritual understanding, our thoughts must continuously vibrate with, and lay hold of, the perfect harmonious thoughts from Divine Mind, or Mind of God, to man, His beloved son. We soon find we have the power to enslave or to free ourselves, as well as to forgive every sin of the whole human family through our attitude of thought, word, or deed and, through the vibrations thus released, to the whole world. Once having chosen to shape our thoughts along definite lines, we soon find that we are sustained by Omnipotence itself and find, as we go through the discipline necessary to assure ourselves of mastery, that it is a glorious privilege—this power which we have to free ourselves and our fellow men from bondage through the process of divine thinking". We are healed.
